Zac Stegosaur.
Zac Stegosaur was a founder of the Stegosaur family, leader of the plant-eating dinosaurs during their escape from Earth, and an ancestor of Teggs. A visionary, he developed the first dung-powered spaceships, including the gigantic Soar-a-saurus, which was developed under his supervision. The jealous King Rokol, a rival leader who ruled the meat-eating dinosaurs, occasionally had Zac's technology stolen for his own use. Fed up with this, Zac had electric fences built to keep out potential thieves. He was aided by pterosaurs and the herbivores that he led.
Despite opposition from General Loki, who provided Rokol with future technology and encouraged him to attack the herbivores, Zac successfully made peace with Rokol (with help from Teggs, Arx, Gipsy, and Iggy) and fled the planet. Loki, in a final attempt to kill Zac and his people, hid bombs in Rokol's parting gift of garga-weeds (without the spinosaurus's knowledge or permission). Teggs and his crew managed to remove the bombs, and Loki was killed in space by the meteor about to strike Earth. Grateful, Zac married Gazell, another stegosaurus that he had admired for some time, allowing Teggs to witness the founding of his family tree.

- Zac is a Stegosaurus stenops, the largest and most well-known of the stegosaurs.
- Zac's species, Stegosaurus, was already long extinct by the Late Cretaceous - stegosaurs themselves seem to have disappeared in the Early Cretaceous due to shifts in Mesozoic plant life. While it's not impossible that stegosaurs themselves still existed, they would have been very rare and limited to isolated populations, and any evidence of Cretaceous stegosaurs is either disproven or heavily disputed.
- Zac's full name is Zaccary Blonk Stegosaur, and he is 27 years old.
